This visual shows an obviously distraught woman which pictures the idea of effects of sexual assault perfectly. It shows a woman who is mentally and emotionally disturbed which is exactly what plays out after such an incident. It's significant because it explains something that words can't - it shows the negativity that victims face after sexual assault and it paints the picture of how many victims feel. Anyone can give you statistics on sexual assault, but to see the pain and discomfort on a victim's face paints a more serious picture of the effects.
